Hey, you're not liberal when you're standing next to Alec Baldwin, or Maya Angelou.... Heck, I can think of a dozen people that you could stand next to if you want to look more conservative.

Wow, I thought you'd only deactivated your account. You deleted it? Beth, I really AM going to Kenya. How will we keep in touch? :(

I'm sorry that this hurt you so much. I agree that your cousin could've handled that better but she's clearly 100% positive that she's right so I chose to spare myself the energy drain. The cost would simply be too high.

Now, about that last comment: Kenya, huts and all, is a beautiful country that has produced 1.5 Nobel Prize winners, - one of which was the first African woman to have been so honored - AND 0.5 of a President of the "free world." All of this to say: Narrow minds need not apply :)

Good insights, Beth. Your points sounds something like the Apostle Paul's words in Ephesians 5:21ff. I am praying for your family. Tell you wonderful husband I said howdy.

Yes, consequences. Such a heavy and rarely mentioned word. I'll let you know how the test-driving goes.

Thanks, Beth! So much to think about these days. And, I deleted the first paragraph as a writer friend suggested. Now I have one lead instead of two. Much better.

So true, Beth. One thing that I sometimes find frustrating is that the right choice isn't always the easy choice and there aren't necessarily any brownie points either. Sometimes, we have to make choices simply because they are the right thing, not the easy thing. Sometimes, it's about making a choice with a consequence you can live with.

Good luck, and happy test-driving :)

Hi,

My facebook has recently turned into a reunion of Jeff High students class of 1979. Some of the reconnects are enjoyable. It's good to be connected almost daily to Paul Hawkins like we were in junior high or high school. He's aged so well, I'm sorry I didn'g go out with him in high school.

On the other hand, I don't care that Lita Amos is having creme brulee for dessert, sharing it with her hubs. It took me awhile before I figured out the hubs wasn't a part of her car. This was a tweet, by the way.

Anyway, I'm glad your back posting on facebook. I missed hearing of your adventures and seeing your photos. Dan can't tell a story (or an update) quite like you, Beth.
